10 March 2026

To,
The Editor
National Herald
Agra

Subject: Undesirability of heavy school bags for primary students

Sir,

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I would like to draw the attention of the authorities towards the serious problem of heavy school bags carried by primary school students.

Small children are forced to carry many books and notebooks every day. These heavy bags cause back pain and other health problems. It also puts unnecessary pressure on young students.

Schools should reduce the number of books and encourage the use of digital learning or separate sets of books for school and home. Proper steps should be taken to solve this problem.

I hope the concerned authorities will take immediate action in this matter.

Thanking you.

Yours faithfully,
Ujjwal Matoliya
