(Make a complex sentence using relative clause)

Answer:
Suhani found the keys which were missing.

Explanation:
Relative clause में which / who / that का उपयोग किया जाता है।
यहाँ keys चीज़ है इसलिए which लगाया गया।

2. If you eat too much, you will fall ill.

(Use “Unless” instead of If)

Answer:
Unless you stop eating too much, you will fall ill.

Explanation:

  • Unless = If not

  • इसलिए वाक्य का अर्थ वही रखते हुए negative idea बनाया जाता है।

3. As soon as he gets his salary, he starts spending it.

(Use No sooner…than)

Answer:
No sooner does he get his salary than he starts spending it.

Explanation:
Structure होता है:

No sooner + helping verb + subject + verb + than

Example pattern:
No sooner did / does + subject + verb + than

4. Work hard lest you may fail.

(Correct the sentence)

Answer:
Work hard lest you fail.

Explanation:
Lest के बाद may / might नहीं लगाया जाता
इसलिए may हटाया गया

5. His idea that he will become rich is wrong.

(Pick out the appositive clause)

Answer:

  • Yes/No question → if / whether

(Using relative clause)

Explanation:
Participial phrase को relative clause में बदला गया।

11. Kumud is too deaf to hear the thunder.

(Use so…that)

Answer:
Kumud is so deaf that she cannot hear the thunder.

Explanation:

too…to → so…that

Example structure

Too + adj + to

So + adj + that + negative result

12. My ambition is that I should serve my country.

(Change into simple sentence)

Answer:
My ambition is to serve my country.

Explanation:
Clause हटाकर infinitive (to + verb) लगाया।

(Combine into complex sentence)

Answer:
You should not give up studies if you get a scholarship.

Explanation:
दो sentences को if clause से जोड़ा गया।

14. The door is too high for the baby to reach.

(Change into complex sentence)

Answer:
The door is so high that the baby cannot reach it.

Explanation:
Too…to → so…that

(Change narration)

Answer:
The servant requested his master to pardon him.

Explanation:

  • Pardon me → request

  • इसलिए requested लगाया।

Finite Verb: made

Explanation:
Finite verb = subject के अनुसार change होने वाला verb

go यहाँ infinitive है।

(Compound sentence)

Answer:

Explanation:
Compound sentence में
and, but, or जैसे conjunction आते हैं।

Explanation:
यह clause time बता रहा है इसलिए

Explanation:
